Weekend of Adventure: Knoxville

There is something innately woven into me that is always thinking about the next adventure.  Unless I am right in the middle of one at the moment, and then of course I am living happily in the present.  But other than that, I am always dreaming up some type of fun way to spend my time.  Don't get me wrong, I can totally be present where I am in life, but a large part of me is a dreamer so dreaming is what I do.

Anyhow, David and I spent the weekend exploring East Tennessee.  I have some lovely friends who live in Knoxville that I try to visit a few times a year so we decided to make an adventure out of it. We started out our Saturday with a little trip to the drive-thru zoo and I have to say, this is my kind of zoo.  You are so up close and personal with the animals and they have been conditioned to be friendly towards people.  Probably because every car has food to give them, shoot I'd like people too if they were giving me treats all the time!  I haven't laughed so hard in quite a while.

As soon as we got there David said, "Okay, the only thing is, I don't like cows. So if we see a cow we have to roll the windows up."

Well what happens as soon as we pull in to the zoo, a very large BULL sticks his head through the window into the car and starts eating out of the animal feed bucket we had placed between us in the cup holder console.  At that point I couldn't move my car due to the gargantuous animal who was halfway inside it and I was dying of laughter as this thing had David pinned to his seat scrambling to get its big head out of his lap.  It was probably the funniest thing ever and I couldn't do anything but laugh and squeal the whole time.
