Mountains Beyond Mountains

I climbed a mountain last week with David.  There is a hum of excitement that whirls through me when I get to do things like this.  Don't get me wrong, I didn't do much hiking.  But I was on a freaking mountain with the man I love.  That's pretty cool.

I don't know if you have ever been on a mountain top but there is a crispness to the air.  Almost how you imagine "spring water" like the Deer Lake brand of bottled water smelling.  Maybe that's where they market that type of water to originate from, beautiful mountains with streams of freshwater trickling down them.  Random, off topic thought there.

Both of us couldn't help but feel the majesty of God while we were up there.  The vastness and beauty of the landscape around us declared the glory of God.  It shouted of His greatness.  Psalm 19:1 says " The heavens proclaim the glory of God.  The skies display His craftmanship."

Gosh it was breath-taking.  I couldn't help but sing this song by Bryan and Katie Torwalt I Breathe You In God.  It felt like with every breath you were breathing in a bit of heaven.  Seriously.  I am always captivated by nature and how God paints this beautiful world and gives it to us to explore.  He is so good.

By the way we were at Max Patch, a bald mountain in North Carolina.  If you are close by, you should totally check it out.
