Merry Friday

So we're going to do a little flashback on this awkward moment.

Once upon a time, ohhhh about 8 years ago, I went to prom with an older boy.  Gasp, oh yes it was happening.  I was asked to prom as a sophomore and all my friends were going with older boys too.  It was going to be the. most. fun. night. ever.

Everything you ever dreamed of as your high school experience, right?

Now let me back-track a few seconds and fill you in on the fact that my dad was in a newly season of life.  He was living wild and free and was dating this super cute but super edgy lady who showed up to our house on a motorcycle.  Wow.

Anywho, he was definitely channeling his "inner animal house". Yes that is his favorite movie. I know, right?!

So back to prom. I dress up in a great dress, go to a fab dinner with older boy, and hit the prom scene.  As I spent most of the night dodging my date (sad I know) but on the dance floor with my friends.  Right about midway through the night I look over in horror to see my dad and his new lady friend.

RIGHT THERE. In the middle of the dance floor.

Oh no, it doesn't stop there.  He proceeded to start the train.  And this train circled through the dance floor with many of my friends hitched onto this train. Oh yes..it happened. My dad started a train in the middle of the dance floor at my high school prom.

Honestly, I will never forget this moment.  As embarrassing as it was at the time...it's one of those stories we still crack up over at family dinners.  Its a great memory, and worth the embarrassment.

Merry Friday y'all.

xo, Kelsey Belle
