Isn't it the most fun to find new places where everything feels so familiar? I recently stumbled upon an area of Nashville that I had never been before. While trying to find a quick place to eat when working downtown last week everyone kept recommending "the arcade." I was thinking, whats the arcade, like a game shop with a snack bar or something?
Well finally I decided to stroll by here and found the neatest little restaurants tucked into a little alley between 4th and 5th avenue. This little arcade was built in 1902 and modeled after a shopping arcade in Italy. And oh. my. goodness. the food was so incredibly good. The Little Peanut Shop had all kinds of candies and sweet treats and delicious milkshakes. I also had a fabulous milkshake from a local food truck and it was worth every penny of its $6 splurge.
My absolute favorite place was Peace, Love and Little Donuts. Seriously, best donut I have ever had. Ever. And I am a donut snob (Donut Country forever and ever amen), so yeah enough said. I tried a Samoa donut & a chocolate chip donut and YUM. You need this. I'm telling you if you are strolling in downtown Nashville this is the place you need to go.
