Eeeeeeeek!

Oh hey! So as you can see, I'm engaged!  I am so thrilled to be marrying this handsome man and what a lovely proposal it was.   Last week we went to Colorado Springs & it was just beautiful!  On Friday it snowed six inches and by Saturday we were covered in a winter wonderland.  That morning David & I had planned a little hike with our friends Ellen & Jo.  They were in on the big secret of what was going to happen on this hike, so thankfully they got some photos.  I was just hiking along with the three of them with no clue of what was about to happen.  I had been guessing for a month of when and where it could possibly be, but for some reason or another i didn't expect it at all on this hike.

So here we are hiking along and David says, "Hey babe will you take a picture of me?" As he is standing in front of this beautiful, snow-covered, picturesque backdrop.  I whine, "Can't I be in it with you?!" and he laughs a little and says, "Just take one of me real quick."  I'm like, okayyyy... and then it happens.  He gets down on one knee (which at first I thought was some strange pose for his picture).  About five seconds in I realize whats going on and I start running towards him.  He has the ring in his hands held out for me, down on one knee, with tears in his eyes and says, "I love you."  At this point he didn't get any more words out before I started jumping up and down screaming, "YES! YAY! YES! YAY!"

He did get to give me the whole spill later, but man it was perfect.  I am SO excited & so very lucky to be marrying the best guy out there!
