"Comparison is the thief of joy." Theodore Roosevelt
Remember, when you are comparing, it is your worst to their best.
Now, that is hardly fair.

My life is not cooler than yours.
I edit my photos just like you do.
I also choose what and what not to share,
so does that other blogger with 180k followers.

You have value, you have your own unique talents
and gifts to bring to the table. We all have different gifts.
Life would be boring if we all were the same.
Therefore, utilize your talents. Don't try to be someone else.
Develop you own talents so that you become stronger in them.
Be the best version of you.

It's important for social media to stay positive. If you use it
as a place to vent your negative, depressing, angry emotions (etc, etc)
you might want to think about stopping. People get tired
of reading that all the time, so find a friend you can talk to. That being said,
do not for a moment think that because of a blog or a face
book photo or a rockin' selfie, people's lives are perfect. They're not.
Everyone goes through things. Their life isn't easier than yours,
they just choose to stay positive and keep a semblance of privacy to their lives.

great :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. Seeing successful bloggers and their seemingly perfect lives can inspiring and also sometimes completely discouraging. It's great to remember that we're all human and on the flip side, that we're all super awesome and creative inside. :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't pick my favorite here... They are all so good and so true. You are fabulous friend :)
