I just have to share....

Lately, I can't get enough of this song.  It is so beautiful.  I mean these lyrics:::

So I will call upon Your name // And keep my eyes above the waves // When oceans rise // My soul will rest in Your embrace // For I am Yours and You are mine // Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders // Let me walk upon the waters // Wherever You would call me // Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander // And my faith will be made stronger // In the presence of my Savior

A little bit about me and my story::: When I was in high school I did everything I could to keep my little world perfect and be the best possible daughter I could be.  On top of that I did my best to be a "good girl" in God's sight thinking that is how Christianity worked. Oh boy was a I wrong or what.  I had no idea that I could have a relationship with God.  When I stumbled upon this notion, my life was changed.

Music is something that really speaks to me and that I enjoy tremendously.  When I first heard Hillsong during that transition from religion to relationship, my mind was blown.  They are creative geniuses with grand talent, but at the same time the lyrics were rocking my world while teaching me so much about God's character.  I later learned that many of the songs are derived directly from scripture or based on themes in scripture.

Whether you are a believe or not, I encourage you to listen to this song & watch the video below. The video below is such a creative way to display how God weaves humanity together.  It is 32 minutes long, but it so quickly draws you in and totally worth spending a fraction of your day!

Happy weekend!

  1. I think it's an amazing thing when people discover their own relationship with religion. Growing up, so often we are told by our parents, what to believe and how. So, once you get to a place where it's no longer about how you were raised and instead becomes about what YOU feel in your life...it's a great thing :)
